Downtown Los Angeles specifically has always been a juxtaposition of worlds, home to business execs, hospitality workers, artists, musicians, lawyers, city officials, fashion designers, factory workers, developers, students, retirees, and residents of Skid Row. The streets are a jarring collision of realities, creating a surreal atmosphere that pervades the city streets and awakens those who look a little bit closer at their seemingly ordinary surroundings.
